Introduction of Global Warming

Global warming is the increase of world temperatures as a result of the greenhouse effect. Some gases such as Carbon Dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere harm it and make it thicker and that gives a bad result because the sun rays that reached to the earth should be reflected and go back to pass through the atmosphere again but the thickness of it makes some rays return to the earth and that’s make an increase in the temperature and make the world get hotter. And we should realize that this increasing will make some change in the climate. With rising temperatures the ice caps in the north and south poles are going to melt and that will result increasing the amount of the water in the earth. By increasing the size of the water many lands are going to submerge. This is only one effect of global warming and there are many causes and effects that we are going to discover through this site.

Causes of Global Warming
Almost 100% of the observed temperature increase over last 50 years is caused by increase in the atmosphere of greenhouse by gas concentration such as carbon dioxide (CO2), methane, ozone and water vapour. Those gases are made up of burning of fossil fuels and emission of carbon dioxide (CO2).
When sunlight reaches to the Earths surface some is absorbed and warms the earth and the earth needs that, the rest of rays are return to the atmosphere as longer wavelength and it should lost in space but it doesn't because it is absorbed by greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. This greenhouse gases act like a mirror and reflect longwave radiant to the earth and warms the atmosphere. They are reflected back and increase the temperature of the earth. The reflecting back of heat energy by the atmosphere is called the "greenhouse effect".

Some Picture Of Global Warming Effect

The cause of Global Warming leads to many effects. One of the most important is the increasing number of deaths as a result of heat waves, floods, droughts, tornadoes and other extreme weather conditions. Also the nature will involve with effect More and larger fires in woods ("mega fires"), in particular for North America. Another effect is that Melting of glaciers, hundreds of millions of people will not have enough water because many countries depend on those ices. One more over the increase of the sea level is expected to force 2.8 million people in Europe alone to move away from the coasts World-wide, tens of millions of people per year will need to move away from coastal areas within the next decades. Last effect I have is coming back of diseases like malaria.

Government reports say that Global Warming could lead to the extinction of many animals and birds. Animals and birds adapt slowly to the changing environment. The fast effect of Global Warming makes it difficult to cope in the new environment. Melting ice, bigger desert and warmer seas led to make some creatures feel not uncomfortable with the new environment which have been change by the Global Warming.
As a result of sea ice melting the polar bears find that their habitats are disappearing and we should realize that when the north and south poles melt, it means that the sea level will rise all over the Earth. The sea turtles will not find good and enough beach sites for nesting because the cost land will disappear and scientists think that nearly a third of beach used by turtles in the Caribbean could be lost during this century and that will lead to extinction the turtles

The gases that contribute most to the greenhouse effect are carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), and fluorine compounds. Burning of fossil fuels is the main cause of emissions of greenhouse gases. The most important sources of emissions in UAE are Oil refineries, Oil gathering centre's, Oil platforms, Petrochemical and fertilizer plants and Power-and desalination plants.
The UAE's CO2 emissions increased from 60,809,000 tonnes in 1990 to 94,163,000 tonnes in 2002. Right now, the country has one of the highest per capita commercial energy consumption rates in the world

Sony Gulf FZE, located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai, is a Member of the WWF - UAE Corporate Club. WWF's Climate Savers Programme is a business innovation initiative intended at mobilizing companies to cut CO2 emissions. Resulting agreements are adapted to the conditions and operating sector of a company that signs up to the programme and places the company ahead of its competitors in terms of reducing climate changing gases. Due to better technology and transition to more natural gas in power plants, emissions of CO2 per capita have decreased. In 1990 the UAE emitted 32,6 tonnes CO2 per person per year. In 2002 the emitted had dropped to 25,1 tonnes per person per year, leaving UAE as number 4 on the top emitter per capita global ranking list.
